Ethiopian Village

Spearheaded by The Ethiopian Community in Seattle (ECS), The Ethiopian Village Project will create a community center and affordable housing for Seniors in South Seattle. ECS is one of the first grassroots organizations founded by Ethiopian immigrants in the greater Puget Sound.

The Ethiopian Village Project will provide many critical services including after school programing, senior meal programs, health workshops, social services, summer camps, coding training, cultural immersion courses and more along with 90 units of affordable housing for seniors in South Seattle. Based on the current timeline, construction is expected to start in June 2021 and the project is expected to take 17 months to complete.
